How To Get There
Driving Directions
The airport is approx eight miles west of Glasgow, just off Junction 28 of the M8.
Getting There By Rail
The airport’s nearest railway station is Paisley Gilmour Street, with taxi and bus links to the airport. Trains from Gilmour Street run eight times an hour to Glasgow Central and frequently to Ayr, Gourock, Largs and Troon. For all other connections, travel by bus to Glasgow Central (southern Scotland and the rest of the UK) or to Glasgow Queen Street (for Edinburgh and the east and north of Scotland).
Getting There By Bus
Every 15-20 minutes, there’s an express bus service to and from the centre of Glasgow. Travelling time around 20 minutes. Stopping places in the centre of the city include those at Queen Street and Central railway stations. The service starts and ends at Buchanan Street bus station at the northern end of the city centre. The stop at Queen Street station is handy for transferring to Glasgow’s famous underground railway, the ‘Clockwork Orange’. The frequent Lothian Region Transport Airlink bus service runs to the heart of the city centre every 10 minutes at peak times. Stops include Edinburgh Zoo Park, Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, Haymarket and Waverley Station just off Princes Street. Journey time is 20-25 minutes.
